University College of the North
The University College of the North is an institution devoted to community and northern development and reflects the Aboriginal reality and cultural diversity of northern Manitoba. Main Campuses are located in The Pas and Thompson, Manitoba, and programs and services are delivered through a network of regional centres in northern communities.
Smith Carter is undertaking a significant renovation and expansion of the main campuses in The Pas and Thompson. The new and renovated space in The Pas and a new facility in Thompson will house a university accredited resource library, student services, administrative space, and facilities dedicated to programs in nursing, business management, trades training, program delivery and research capacity for Aboriginal and northern studies. New Regional Centres in Swan River and Flin Flon are being constructed for programs including the Faculty of Health Swan River, and the Northern Manitoba Mining Academy.
