The thunderbird is important to Sachigo Lake First Nation and we used its symbolism as a unifying theme throughout the school's design. The two age groups (K-6, 7-12) have their own entrances, allowing for a sense of identity and progression. We located the gym, library and multipurpose room centrally, allowing the two schools and community to share facilities after hours.
