Our website may contain links to other sites, which are not governed by our Privacy Policy. We may also monitor traffic patterns and site visits in an attempt to continually improve our website. The website tracks originating IP addresses and indicates which pages were viewed. “Cookies” are small bits of data that allow a website to recognize a previous visitor. Smith Carter does not use cookies to track visitors.

Employment Inquiries
Even though the Act does not apply to our employee information, we have elected to follow “best practices” for privacy in this area. After an employment decision is made, we retain the successful candidate’s information in accordance with our privacy procedures for employee records. All other candidates’ information is disposed of, unless the candidates’ information is to be held for assessment at a future date, at which time we will advise the candidate that their information will be held in our files for a specified period of time.
