In conjunction with a Kenyan architect, we provided architectural and engineering services for the  BSL-3 Emerging Pathogens Lab at the University of Nairobi. Our responsibilities included a feasibility study and complete design development. The lab contains a BSL-4 ‘glove box,’ biosafety cabinet, autoclaves, incubators, and equipment for the analysis of emerging pathogens.
