It is well established in building science literature that improved comfort can result in dramatic improvements in occupant productivity, creativity, health and performance. In the SC3 building, multiple design strategies are employed to achieve significant improvements in user comfort. These strategies focus on excellence of interior space in terms of air, lighting and acoustic quality, occupant control of environmental systems, and abundant connections to nature through access to daylight, view and operable windows.
SC3 received 15 out of the 15 possible LEED® Credits in this category. To learn more, view our Indoor Environmental Quality PDF.
