Lee McCormick
Lee McCormick is a principal and the Director of Practice at Smith Carter. An award-winning architect, Lee is responsible for developing the firm’s qualitative performance standards for all projects, and works with discipline leaders to ensure the application across the practice.
Lee brings extensive experience from both the architectural practice perspective as well as the contractor perspective, having worked throughout Western Canada for more than 20 years for both traditional architectural firms and one of the country’s largest design build contractors. This understanding of both design and build phases allows Lee to bring unique insights to design solutions. He has been a sessional lecturer in the Masters of Architecture program and has been a visiting design critic for all levels of the Masters program.
Lee and his young family live in Winnipeg.
