Intermediate Electrical Engineering Technologist
Location: Winnipeg
We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Technologist who has a strong sense of accountability, possesses superior collaboration skills and demonstrates a learning mindset. Our work includes local, national and international projects in various markets including Science and Technology, Security and Defense, Healthcare and Urban Impact.
As an Electrical Engineering Technologist, you are an excellent communicator who has an interest in working in a multi-disciplined integrated environment of engineers and architects to assist in the designing of electrical systems for commercial and institutional projects ranging from simple to complex.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
> Develop and modify electrical drawings according to established company standards.
> Assist on large or small projects developing working drawing solutions in an integrated team environment .
> Effectively communicate and interact with local and remote design team members, project managers and externals consultants as projects develop.
> Work under the direction and supervision of senior technical personnel .
> Effectively manage multiple priorities maintaining budgets and schedules.
> Create, organize, maintain and exchange required electronic information for each project.
> Lead projects; supervise project staff.
Qualifications:
> Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology.
> CET or C. Tech Designation is preferred.
> 7 to 10 years of experience as a designer in the electrical consulting field.
> Demonstrates a basic knowledge of building technology and integration of systems.
> Solid working knowledge of AutoCAD 2007 or 2009 is essential.
> Knowledge of Revit MEP is desirable.
> Familiarity with National CAD standards an asset.
> Knowledge of National Building Code.
> Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word is required.
> PWGSC Level II Security Clearance will be required as a condition of employment.
