Architectural Technologist – Term Position

Location: Winnipeg

We are currently seeking an Architectural Technologist for a one-year term position (with the possibility to become permanent) who has a strong sense of accountability, demonstrates a learning mindset, and possesses superior collaboration skills for large, complex projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

> Organize documentation of Design Development and Contract Document packages.
> Develop and modify architectural drawings according to established company standards.
> Develop architectural details and systems.
> Develop schedules/specifications.
> Resolve code-related problems.
> Assist on large or small projects developing solutions in an integrated team environment, which includes internal and external consultants and client representatives.
> Coordinate with Engineering, Interior Design and Landscape Architecture.
> Effectively communicate with team members, project managers and external consultants as required.
> Work under the direction and supervision of senior technical personnel.
> Effectively manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications:

> Diploma in Building Design CAD Technology.
> 5 to 8 years experience working in the architectural or construction industry.
> Minimum 3 years experience in a technical role on building projects in cold climates.
> Solid working knowledge of AutoCAD 2009 is essential.
> Working knowledge of REVIT is desirable.
> Demonstrates knowledge of architectural building technology.
> Knowledge of National Building Code is an asset.
> Familiarity with National CAD standards an asset.
> Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
> Candidate must possess design sensitivity and a strong attention to detail.
> Eligible for certification with CTTAM.
> Ability to obtain PWGSC Level II Security Clearance will be required as a condition of employment.
