Accounting Technician

Location: Winnipeg

We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Discipline Manager, Finance you will be responsible for accounts payable in Canada and the USA as well as maintaining systematic records of business transactions, verifying and recording those transactions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Accounts payable
• Cash disbursement
• Bank reconciliation
• Credit card reconciliation
• Month end invoice and accounts receivable reconciliation
• Employee expenses
• Fixed assets analysis
• Intercompany A/P and A/R
• Intercompany foreign exchange calculation and J/E
• Prepaid expense analysis
• Period end reporting
• Other duties as required by the job

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum Grade 12
• Accounting Diploma
•Two years’ experience working with accounts payable, general ledger and sub ledgers accounts.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent analytical and problem–solving skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
